Don Wilson finally put an end to its losing streak against Star Painting. Izaiah Murnane and James Darwin each scored two goals for Don Wilson. Starr Painting and Don Wilson are tied for third place with a record of one win and three losses.

AZ Landscaping suffered its first loss of the season against Sparky’s Wings and Things. Matthew Conte hit two big goals in the second period to tie the game for Sparky’s. It was a close game that went into overtime. With 1:39 left, Anthony Conte made a long-range shot to win the game. The teams are tied for first place with a record of three wins and one loss.

Minor League Floor Hockey, Week 4

American Resource Staffing won its second consecutive game against Stymies Pizza. Tommy Legare and Damian Fry scored one goal each for American Resource Staffing. The final score was 2-0, leaving Stymies Pizza with a record of one win and three losses.

Arty’s Roast Beef and Fantini Bakery played to a tie. Shelby Eason scored one goal in the second period, and one minute later Walker Deschenes scored a goal to tie the game for Fantini Bakery. The game went into overtime. In a shootout, neither team scored and the game ended in a tie.

Javier’s Market lost its fourth straight game, this one against Rice & Brouillard Electric. Rice & Brouillard Electric has a 2-2 record.

Major League Floor Hockey, Week 5

Pistone Containers took the win over Messinger Chiropractic with a shutout. Addiel Reyes scored a goal in the first period to lead the game toward victory for Pistone Containers. Edward Perez and James Darwin scored one goal each in the second period for Pistone Containers to secure the win. Both teams went into the game with a record of two wins and two losses. Messinger Chiropractic is now in fifth place.

Samuel Powell scored a hat trick in the third period, securing the victory for Twomey & Legare Contracting. Michael Gaston scored one goal for Malcolm Insurance in the third period, avoiding a shutout. Malcolm Insurance walked away with its fifth straight loss. Samuel Powell was named Athlete of the Week for his excellent offense. Twomey & Legare Contracting is still in first place with a 4-1 record.

Dempsey Insurance beat Blase Distefano in an overtime shootout. Both teams scored one goal in the first period, and the score remained tied through the second and third periods and into overtime. Isaiah Murnane was the last to shoot for Dempsey Insurance, and scored the goal which won the game. The teams are tied for second place with a 3-2 record.

Major League Basketball, Week 5

High Street Market continued its undefeated record with a win over Early Contractors. Navin Cruz played a huge role offensively, scoring 30 points for High Street Market. Scott Tavares scored 31 points for Early Contractors, but it wasn’t enough. Early Contractors was left with a 2-3 record.

JDR’s Auto/Welding & Towing took the victory over Destiny’s Spanish Market. Ken Plante scored 24 points for JDR’s Auto/Welding & Towing, leaving his team in second place with a 3-2 record. Mason Silver improved, scoring a season high 16 points for JDR’s Auto/Welding & Towing. Brandon Ruiz scored a season high 16 points for Destiny’s Spanish Market, which was handed its fifth consecutive loss.

Minor League Basketball, Week 5

The Common 1854 beat Richdale Convenience Store. The Common 1854 promoted great ball movement. Samuel Powell and Mckayla Dingle each scored seven points for The Common 1854. Richdale Convenience Store was left with a 1-4 record. Enrique Alvarado scored five points for Richdale Convenience Store, but it wasn’t enough to end his team’s losing streak.

Shoe City Hardware beat Jacqueline’s Grocery Store. Carlos Rivera scored 14 points for Shoe City Hardware in the showdown. Cristian Ovalles scored 13 points for Jacqueline’s Grocery Store.

Fireside Restaurant & Pub took the win over Early Contractors by 10 points, leaving the two teams tied for first with a 3-2 record. Nazair Dabreo promoted teamwork and sportsmanship, scoring 18 points in the victory for Fireside Restaurant & Pub.
