:Scholarship offered: Community Action Inc. is offering a $1,000 Goldman Scholarship to an area resident who is enrolled in a full-time college or other post secondary program. College students from Haverhill, Amesbury, Newburyport, Salisbury, Groveland, Georgetown, Boxford, Rowley, Newbury, West Newbury and Merrimac are eligible. The scholarship is named after the late Gerald Goldman, former executive director of Community Action Inc. Applications are available at Community Action Inc., 145 Essex St. Completed applications are due by March 1. The selection of the scholarship winner will be decided by Goldman’s children and announced in April. Applications are also available online at www.communityactioninc.org. :Origami workshop for teens: The Langley-Adams Library in Groveland invites teens in grades six to 12 to learn origami with local author and origami artist Michael LaFosse, Jan. 25 at 3:30 p.m. in the library’s meeting room. :Enrollment information session: Hill View Montessori Charter Public School will hold an Enrollment Information Session for prospective parents and caregivers Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. The school is at 75 Foundation Ave. in the Ward Hill Business Park. A public lottery for available seats will be held Feb. 7 at 3:30 p.m. Hill View is a public, tuition-free school that offers a public Montessori educational option to the Haverhill community. :School plans open house: St. Joseph School of All Saints Parish will hold an open house Jan. 27. Breakfast is at 10:30 a.m. and the open house is from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. An open house will also be held Jan. 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The school offers students from nursery to grade eight challenging academics in a supportive, caring environment, a new technology center, diverse activities for all interests, and before- and after-school care.
