The Lamp Post

Last week, the Lamplighter noticed the city erecting several new signs just outside the downtown that direct visitors to parking, restaurant district and other landmarks. They look very sharp.

The Lamplighter was taken aback by the sudden snowfall on the night of Dec. 16. Almost instantly the city was covered in a white blanket.

The Lamplighter looks forward to rooting on the Patriots this Sunday as they take on the Baltimore Ravens, for a chance to head to the Superbowl. Local eateries and watering holes are benefitting from the team's success, as they draw crowds to watch the games on big-screen TVs.

The Lamplighter is still working through one of the large subs from Benedetti's Deli, which offers excellent subs in Hungry Hillie sizes.

Despite living within walking distance from the new parking garage, the Lamplighter hasn't noticed increased traffic driving into the garage. Hopefully visitors and commuters are making use of it.
