Elmo to visit the public library Nov. 30

The public library will host a visit from Elmo on Nov. 30, at 11 a.m.

Children will participate in a story time, and can act out books with their favorite Sesame Street character. All participants will have an opportunity to meet Elmo, so bring a camera. Children will receive a free goodie bag filled with a new book and other materials. This program is sponsored by the state’s UFund College Savings plan and MEFA (Massachusetts nonprofit authority helping offer affordable higher education solutions). Luncheon talk on Diabetic Foot Care is Dec. 4

The 10 Rules of Diabetic Foot Care with Podiatric Surgeon Debra Eisner, DPM, is Dec. 4 from 1 to 2 p.m. in Merrimack Valley Hospital’s first-floor auditorium. Cost of $5 includes presentation and lunch. Menu is sliced stuffed chicken breast with cream sauce, rice pilaf, peas and pearl onions, tossed salad with dressing, rolls, coffee, tea, lemon/mint water and pie.
