Winter Farmers Market planned

The Haverhill Farmers Market is holding an indoor Winter Market on Saturdays this month at the Universalist Unitarian Church, 15 Kenoza Ave.

The market is open Saturday, Dec.. 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This event includes live music and is sponsored by the UU Green Sanctuary Committee.

Vendors will be selling winter produce, jams and jellies, maple syrup, honey, grass-fed meat, eggs, baked goods, hand-made holiday gift items and other items.

Library offers Beginning Internet Classes

The public library will offer free Beginning Internet Classes in January.

The classes are small, with lots of individual attention and hands-on practice. Each class is two hours long. You do not have to own a computer to take these classes, but you are welcome to bring your own wireless enabled laptop. Classes require advance sign-up. For dates, times and to reserve a spot, stop by the reference and information desk at the library or call 978-373-1586, ext. 608. The library will begin taking reservations Dec. 21 for classes that begin Jan. 8.

‘Phone Pals; program offered to housebound elders

The Greater Haverhill Breakfast Exchange Club is sponsoring a new free program titled “Phone Pals” for housebound Haverhill senior citizens.

Participating elders will be contacted by phone on a daily or weekly schedule by trained volunteers. This program offers health care reminders, referrals to appropriate service providers, education information, and emergency safety checks. Phone Pals is free and offered as a public service by the Greater Haverhill Breakfast Exchange Club. Funding is provided by the Griffin-White Foundation. Bank names manager for Bradford branch

Haverhill Bank has named Gabriel Rodriguez as the new manager of its Bradford branch.
