:Christmas give-a-way: Families in financial distress are invited to a free Christmas give-a-way Friday, Dec. 14 at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St. Doors open at 4 p.m. Registration is not required. Personal care items, housewares and gift and food items are being provided through a grant from Walmart, which is also providing a tractor trailer truck for this distribution. This event is hosted by Somebody Cares New England in collaboration with Common Ground Ministry and Zion Bible College.
:Talk on urinary stress incontinence: The Council on Aging will host a presentation on urinary stress incontinence by Dr. Susan Purcell Friday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. Purcell, a board certified urologist with Urology Consultants of the North Shore, will discuss the different treatment options for urinary stress incontinence. This affects one in three women in their lifetime. There will be an opportunity to ask questions following the presentation. :Indoor Farmers Market open Saturday: The Haverhill Farmers Market is holding an indoor Winter Market on Saturdays this month at the Universalist Unitarian Church, 15 Kenoza Ave. The market is open Saturday, Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Dec. 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event includes live music and is sponsored by the UU Green Sanctuary Committee.
