Outdoor concert series continues: The Bradford Common Outdoor Music Series continues with a performance by Paul Prue & the Blues Men on July 26. Opening acts in the series begin at 6 p.m. on Bradford Common, followed by featured acts at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. All performances are sponsored by the First Church of Christ and are free. The series continues with Lee Lewis & the Ladies of Chanel on Aug. 2;, Mike Cesati & Company on Aug. 9, and the Mike Fioretti Band on Aug. 16. Performers for the Aug. 23 show will be announced later. Free concert at Winnekenni Castle: Winnekenni Castle will present a free concert by Rico Barr & The Jump ‘n’ Jive Review on July 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. The concert is on the castle’s outdoor stage and includes performances by jazz guitarist Gerry Beaudoin and vocalist Tyra Penn. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnics and parasols. In the event of rain, the show will be inside the castle, with seating provided. Cycle for Shelter celebrates 25th anniversary: The 25th annual Cycle for Shelter will be held on July 28 on the Haverhill campus of Northern Essex Community College. Participants must raise a minimum of $200 in pledges. Registration is $75 and $100 on the day of the event. This annual event raises money to support programs for homeless families and individuals. Choose from 25-, 50-, 62- or a 100-mile loop that travels along the scenic New Hampshire seacoast then joins the 62-mile route on the back roads of Northern Essex County. Food and beverages will be available throughout the day. A barbecue will be provided by Emmaus staff, Longhorn Steakhouse, UNO and Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods Inc. and the Chicken Connection. Rejuvenating massages and shower facilities will be available. Urban Adventours in Boston is offering a 15-percent discount on bike rentals and a 50-percent discount on bike shipping. Volunteers are needed for early morning and late afternoon to help with set up and clean up. Massage therapists are needed between noon and 4 p.m. This year’s Cycle for Shelter is presented by International Cars Ltd. and the Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union. Gold sponsor is TD Bank.
