The wet weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of these environmentalists.
Despite Sunday’s showers, Haverhill’s Brightside organization presented the fifth annual Haverhill Goes Green environmental fair at GAR Park and the Citizens Center.
The family event featured music, agricultural displays, food and crafts vendors, children’s activities, and booths where visitors registered for free home energy audits and obtained information about home solar systems and energy-saving products. There was also a demonstration of solar cooking.
Although several of the topics involved serious environmental issues, there were many smiles and much laughter as children and their parents enjoyed the event.
