:Pancake breakfast is July 4:Winnekenni Castle will hold its annual Independence Day pancake breakfast on Thursday from 8 to 11 a.m. Fill your plate with flapjacks and more for only $3 per child or $6 per adult. Enjoy lawn toys and fun on the castle’s hillside, including children’s balloon art and bubbles with Doctor Goose. There will also be a children’s coloring contest and decorated “anything-on-wheels” parade. Contest and parade participants should be complete and fully entered by 10 a.m. Line up for the parade is slated for approximately 10:20 a.m. Prizes for best decorated wheels and coloring champs will be awarded. Salvation Army looks to send kids to camp: The Salvation Army in Haverhill is seeking donations to help fund a summer camp for children from Haverhill and Groveland. The cost for a week of camp is $300 and the goal is to send 50 kids to the Salvation Army-accredited camp, which is run by The Salvation Army in Sharon. Salvation Army Lt. Jeff Hardy said many deserving children cannot afford to pay and without help will lose this valuable experience. Salvation Army seeks paper products:The Salvation Army in Haverhill is seeking donations of paper products for its meals program, which feeds more than 500 people each week. Items needed include paper plates, napkins, cups, bowls, utensils, paper towels and toilet paper. Donations can be dropped off at the Salvation Army, 395 Main St. Donations of money will be accepted as well. More information is available from Lt. Jeff Hardy at 978-374-7571.
