Salvation Army seeks paper products: The Salvation Army in Haverhill is seeking donations of paper products for its meals program, which feeds more than 500 people each week. Items needed include paper plates, napkins, cups, bowls, utensils, paper towels and toilet paper. Outdoor concert series returns: The sixth annual Bradford Common Outdoor Music Series kicks off this year with a performance on July 12 of blues, country and rock by Keith Muise & the Telestrators. Opening acts begin at 6 p.m. on Bradford Common, followed by featured acts at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. All performances are sponsored by the First Church of Christ and are free. The series continues with Liz Bills & Jesse Cohen on July 19, Paul Prue & the Blues Men on July 26, Lee Lewis & the Ladies of Chanel on Aug. 2, Mike Cesati & Company on Aug. 9, and the Mike Fioretti Band on Aug. 16. Puppet show for kids: Winnekenni Castle will hod a free puppet show for kids on Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m. Maggie Whalen and the Magpie Puppets will perform an all-new and original show, “Leopard Learns a Lesson,” adapted from an African tale from Malawi. Leopard is always bullying and frightening smaller animals until Rabbit turns the tables on her with the help of the jungle’s two largest beasts, Elephant and Rhinoceros. July events at the public library: Author Myfawny Collins will discuss her novel “Echolocation” and her book of short stories “I am Holding Your Hand” on July 15 at 7 p.m. in the library’s Milhendler Room. Her talk is part of the library’s Adult Summer Reading Social program. Collins lives in Byfield with her husband and son.
