During the week of Sept. 6, residents in the red area should put containers out for pickup by 6 a.m. on collection day. Containers should not be put at the curb before 4 p.m. on the day before collection is scheduled.
Mixed recyclables are picked up at the curb and do not need to be sorted by type. Items collected include plastics; glass; metal, tin and steel cans, aluminum cans, pie plates, trays and foil; mixed paper and cardboard.
The Recycling Center at 500 Primrose St. accepts unsorted recyclables on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. from all Haverhill residents.
