The Haverhill Gazette
---- — There were veterans of several wars, families who lost soldiers in combat, even a child dressed in a Civil War uniform.
They and other members of the community came together for Haverhill’s annual Veterans Day Parade and ceremony.
The parade formed in front of VFW Lorraine Post 29 on Kenoza Avenue. It proceeded to Monument Square and down Main Street, ending at the Global Peace Monument on Ginty Boulevard, where services were held. When the services ended, the American flag colors were retired.
A buffet luncheon was then held at the American Legion Farm, 1314 Main St.
