Hillie sports season about to shift into gear

Weather permitting, spring sports will be in full swing this week.

Girls lacrosse and boys volleyball teams play Thursday

The girls lacrosse team will host Shawsheen on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Haverhill High School. The boys volleyball team will travel to Methuen for a 5:30 p.m. match.

Friday games include softball, lacrosse and tennis

On Friday, the softball team opens at home against Manchester Essex at 3:30 p.m. at Riverside Park. The boys lacrosse team will also be home with a 4:30 p.m. game against Tewksbury at Trinity Stadium. The girls tennis team will host Lawrence at the Haverhill High School courts starting at 4 p.m. The boys tennis team will face Central Catholic at Greater Lawrence and the girls lacrosse team will travel to Tewksbury.

Hillie ball players prepare for opening doubleheader away

The baseball team opens its 2014 campaign with a doubleheader at Barnstable High School on Saturday.

Tennis, softball and volleyball games set for Monday

On Monday, both tennis teams will be at home. The girls will face Chelmsford on the Haverhill High School courts and the boys will take on Methuen at the Winnekenni courts. The softball team will travel to Pentucket and the boys volleyball team will be at Billerica.
