During the week of Nov. 9, residents in the "blue" area may put paper bins out for pickup by 6 a.m. on collection day. Homeowners on the Tuesday and Wednesday routes may put mixed recyclables at the curb.
The Recycling Center, 500 Primrose St., accepts unsorted plastics, glass, metal, tin and steel cans, aluminum cans, pie plates, trays and foil; mixed paper and cardboard Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. from all Haverhill residents.

Milagros Rivera nearly burst into tears when she got a call from people at the Haverhill Housing Authority.
They had a newly renovated apartment waiting for her in the city's Highlands neighborhood.
"I feel so much better here," said Rivera, who had been feeling trapped in her former apartment on Hilldale Avenue.
Next month, the annual Relay for Life fundraiser will return to Haverhill for the 18th straight year.

Plans to finish the Carrington Estates condo development in Bradford remain on hold, frustrating at least one resident of the project.
Ed Barrett lives steps away from unfinished infrastructure in the development and said it's time for the city to take action on the property.
