More than 30 students at the A.B. Consentino Middle School on Washington Street spend one Wednesday lunch period a month reading and talking about books with school library aide Jean Germain and Haverhill's teen services librarian, Alissa Lauzon.
During their April meeting, the groups — 25 fifth- and sixth-graders; seven seventh- and eighth-graders — shared information about their favorite books. It was all part of the library's celebration of National Library Week.
The students wanted to give each other tips for books to read on Support Teen Literature Day, which is Thursday, April 15.
Normally, all members of the group read the same book and share their reactions.
