The Merrimack Valley Hospital will host a senior's lunch and health discussions on Tuesday, Sept. 14 starting at 1 p.m. The lunch will feature guest speaker Glenn Kimball and a discussion entitled "Overview of Eye Disease in Seniors". Event tickets are $5.

YMCA to honor teacher of year
The Haverhill YMCA will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m., in the gymnasium at 81 Winter St.
For the second year in a row, the Y will honor a Teacher of the Year. Last year's winner, Matt Castonguay, will be on hand to congratulate this year's winner. The YMCA will also honor staff tenure, successes of the past year and its 50 Year Club.
Parents are encouraged to submit nominations to the Haverhill YMCA, 81 Winter St., Haverhill, MA 01830, or by e-mail to fullert@northshoreymca.org. Tickets are $30 per person.
