Sparky’s Wings & Things unhinged JNR Gutters 5-0. Billy St. Amand scored a hat trick for Sparky’s. Daniel Howell and Samuel Powell scored a goal each for Sparky’s to secure the victory. Dylan Fontaine and Riley St. Amand played a strong defense for JNR Gutters, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Sparky’s onslaught.
Align Credit Union triumphed over the 99 Restaurant & Pub 6-3. Victor Van, Braden Dorr, Aiden Corcoran and James Darwin played a strong first period for Align Credit Union and scored a goal each. Enrique Alvarado and Tuan Nguyen scored one goal each for the 99 Restaurant & Pub, which trailed by one goal at the end of the first period. Emma Laviolatte and Franklin Libby scored a goal each for Align Credit Union at the end of the second period, giving them a 6-2 lead. Jakob Ruperto scored a goal for 99 Restaurant & Pub with 1:20 on the clock, but it just wasn’t enough.
Major League Floor Hockey, Game 4
Twomey & Legare Contracting took out Messinger Chiropractic 10-2. Evan Foskett was on fire and scored five goals in the showdown for Twomey & Legare, while Nathan Libby scored three goals. Dariya Robinson and Brian Morales scored one goal each in the first period for Messinger Chiropractic, but Messinger failed to score in the remaining periods.
Malcolm Insurance defeated American Resource Staffing 5-1. Jason McKeon put on a show for Malcolm Insurance and scored three goals. Walker Deschenes and Jordyne Deveau both scored a goal for Malcolm Insurance to solidify the win. Damian Fry scored the one and only goal for American Resource Staffing in the second period.
Pistone Containers shut out Dempsey Insurance 2-0. Woodrow Reese scored the first goal of the game for Pistone Containers in the first period with 47.6 seconds left on the clock. Michael Gaston played excellent goalie for Pistone Containers, stopping every puck that came his way. Jade Banks scored the final goal for Pistone Containers in the second half. Both teams failed to score in the third period. Pistone Containers ended its two game losing streak.
Major League Basketball, Game 5
Early Contractors continued its undefeated record with a 41-32 win over Lucky’s Pizza. Joshua Santacruz scored a team high 12 points for Early Contractors. Nazair Dabreo scored a game high 17 points for Lucky’s Pizza and hit two big three-pointers in the third quarter. Elias Polanco stepped up with offensive rebounds and scored six points for Early Contractors. Brandon Donald showed great accuracy with two big three-pointers in the fourth quarter for Lucky’s Pizza, but it wasn’t enough to take the win.
GL Enterprises beat JDR’s Auto/Welding 44-32. Jordan Gilliurmo promoted great ball control and scored 11 points for GL Enterprises. Cole Smith stepped things up and scored a total of 13 points for GL Enterprises. JDR’s Auto/Welding had a good run in the fourth quarter with 17 points, but the team fell short of the win.
Minor League Floor Hockey, Game 4
Restaurant Restoration Service rolled over Fantini Bakery 3-1. Damian Fry scored a goal in the first period for Restaurant Restoration Service with .3 seconds left on the clock to start to the game. Damian Fry hit another goal in the second period, and soon after William Holleran scored another goal in the period for Restaurant Restoration. With 10.6 seconds left on the clock, Lennon Abrue scored the one and only goal for Fantini Bakery. Neither team scored a goal in the third period, and Restaurant Restoration walked away winners.
Rice & Brouillard Electric edged out Align Credit Union 2-1. William Acosta scored the first goal of the game for Align Credit Union in the first period, giving them a 1-0 lead at the end of the period. Tyler Rice quickly scored a goal in the second period for Rice & Brouillard to tie the game 1-1. With 3:09 on the clock, Tyler Rice scored another goal for Rice & Brouillard, giving them a 2-1 lead. Align Credit played hard in the third quarter, but failed to tie the game.
Arty’s Roast Beef took a 3-2 victory over Blase Distefano in a sudden death overtime. Both teams played excellent defense in the first period as neither team scored a goal. Javien Sapienza came out strong in the second period and scored the first goal for Blase Distefano. Arty’s Roast Beef failed to score in the second period, but at the start of the third period, Jayden Arias hit two back-to-back goals to tie the game. In the sudden death overtime, both teams struggled to hit a goal until Ryan Wentworth hit a long range shot with 12.3 seconds left on the clock to take the victory for Arty’s Roast Beef.
Minor League Basketball, Game 4
Early Contractors suffered a fourth straight loss when beaten by Half Staff 35-27. Enrique Alvarado scored a game high 15 points for Half Staff. Elias Polanco stepped up with offensive rebounds and scored nine points for Half Staff. Joshua Gariepy scored 10 points for Early Contractors, but it wasn’t enough to take the victory.
VIP Cuts was tripped up by Shoe City Hardware 35-29. Jason McKeon promoted great ball control and scored a season high 18 points. Nazair Dabreo scored a game high 26 points for VIP Cuts, but it wasn’t enough to take the win. Shoe City Hardware ended a two game losing streak.
Mediterranean Pizza rolled over Jaqueline’s Grocery 24-10 and continued its four game winning streak. Phillip Cunningham scored a game high 13 points with strong drives to the rim. Brendan Donald showed great shooting ability with two three-pointers in the first half for Mediterranean Pizza. Giovanni Perez scored a season high four points for Mediterranean.
