Spinal health workshop held

A Natural Options for Health and Wellness Workshop will be presented by Dr. Beth Greene of New Life Chiropractic, Central Plaza, Haverhill.

Dr. Beth will share tips and suggestions for keeping the spine healthy at all ages in order to minimize pain and maximize function.

She focuses on the importance of being active, preventing and healing injury as well as role good nutrition plays in our lives.

Learn to use your e-reader: Did you receive a Kindle or Nook for Christmas? Join Nancy House, Reference Librarian at the Haverhill Public Library, as she gives you a beginner’s course on using e-books. E-books are becoming more and more popular and you can borrow tons of them for FREE from your library. Nancy will give you the first steps on how to learn your e-reader and how to use it to access the library’s resources. Stop in at the Citizen Center from 2-3pm on February 4th for an intro to what e-readers and e-books are all about. This is a great chance to learn the basics!

Learn about prescription drugs: Kathy Devine of the Executive Office of Elder Affairs in Massachusetts will be at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St., on Tuesday, February 25, at 10:30 A.M. to discuss the Massachusetts Prescription Advantage Program. Prescription Advantage is a prescription drug insurance plan that is available to Massachusetts residents 65 and older as well as younger people with disabilities who meet income and employment guidelines.
