Eli Hops fundraising event: Eli Hops will be hosting a fundraising event on Nov.3 at the Haverhill AMVETS function room from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eli Hops invites professional and volunteer skill toy performers, musicians, artists, dancers, martial artists, and special needs groups to come and demonstrate and teach what they do for the attendees of the events. Attendees are asked for a “donation of goodwill” at the door, of which 100 percent goes to the cause. Businesses at the event are encouraged to give a percentage of the day’s sales or a predetermined flat-rate donation to the cause, of which 100 percent goes to the cause. School of Montessori open house: The Andover School of Montessori is holding its Fall Open House on Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon. The school is a pre-kindergarten through grade 8 school located at 400 South Main Street, Andover. Council on Aging Atlantic City Trip: The Council on Aging is offering a gambling trip to the Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City from Nov. 7 to 9. This fully-escorted tour includes luxury motor coach, deluxe hotel accommodations, $25 slot bonus, two buffet dinners and a “Christmas from the White Mountains” show featuring Don Who. Fit run: The Hillies Havoc fit run will be held Nov.11at Winnekenni Castle. The first-annual event is an all-out test of endurance and agility, with four divisions negotiating a four-mile walk, run or havoc filled eight-obstacle race course. All competitors receive a Hillies Havoc T-shirt. Overflow parking and bus shuttle available from Pentucket Lake Elementary School, 252 Concord St. Support the partnership with the Haverhill YMCA and Haverhill Athletic Department supporting Haverhill youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The event will benefit Haverhill High user fees and Haverhill YMCA Teen Leaders Club.
