Minor League Floor Hockey Week 7

Rice & Brouillard Electric took the victory over the second place team, Fantini Bakery, in a very close game. Rice & Brouillard trailed by two goals until the third period. The score was 4-2 at the beginning of the third period, and Fantini Bakery had the lead. Ryan Wentworth, Victor Pereyra and Tyler Rice each scored a goal in the third period to secure the win for Rice & Brouillard. Fantini Bakery has a 4-2-1 record, and Rice & Brouillard has a 4-3 record.

Stymies Pizza secured another win, this time over Javier’s Market. Jayden Arias scored a four goals for Stymies Pizza in the showdown. Javier’s Market suffered its seventh consecutive loss of the season. Stymies Pizza walked away with a 3-4 record and Javier’s Market has a 0-7 record.

Arty’s Roast Beef came out in full force against American Resource Staffing. Angel Simpson and Nicholas Terrileeach each scored a goal to secure the win for Arty’s Roast Beef. American Resource Staffing had trouble getting the puck in the net the entire game, resulting in a shutout for Arty’s Roast Beef. American Resource Staffing has a 3-4 record and Arty’s Roast Beef held onto first place with a 6-0-1 record.

JV Floor Hockey League Week 6

Sparky’s Wings and Things took the victory over Starr Painting. Eric Fila played strong in goal in the entire game for Sparky’s Wings and Things, which made it very difficult for Starr Painting to get a goal. Matthew Conte and Anthony Conte each scored one goal for Sparky’s Wings and Things for a 2-0 lead at the end of the second period. Joe Santoro scored a goal in the third period with 5:06 left for Starr Painting, but Eric Fila made sure Starr Painting didn’t score again with his strong goaltending. Starr Painting has a 1-5 record and Sparky’s Wings and Things has a 4-2 record.
