The Haverhill Gazette is sponsoring a debate with the four Republican candidates — Carlisle's Jon Golnik, Haverhill's Sam Meas, Westford's Tom Weaver and Andover's Bob Shapiro — seeking to unseat incumbent Democrat Niki Tsongas.
The debate will be Friday, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers, Room 202, in Haverhill City Hall, 4 Summer St.
Reader-submitted questions will be a part of Friday's debate. Please send questions to political reporter Ross Marrinson at rmarrinson@hgazette.com.
The state primary is on Tuesday, Sept. 14, just 11 days after the Gazete debate.
The winner in this race will appear on the Nov. 2 ballot.
