Money raised enhances the club’s after-school programs, including homework help, daily nutritious snacks, computer center, fine arts program, floor hockey and basketball leagues, cheerleading, dance, martial arts, volleyball, teen programs and game room activities.

Each person who registers will be given a pledge form for individual or corporate sponsorship. Entry forms are available by calling Kathleen Pruett at 978-374-6171, ext. 102. In lieu of walking, donations can be sent to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Haverhill, 55 Emerson St., Haverhill, MA 01830. The club serves an average of 275 girls and boys daily and has an annual membership of over 800.

Craft fair planned at Citizens Center: The Council on Aging will host a Craft Fair on Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.

Local senior citizens will sell handcrafted items. More information is available from Kathy Bresnahan or Rita LaBella at 978-374-2390.

Class reunion planned: Haverhill High School’s Class of 1978 will hold its 35-year reunion on Oct. 19 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Salvatore’s on the River in Lawrence.

Scout Troop celebrates 100 years: Troop One Haverhill, the oldest Boy Scout troop in the Yankee Clipper Council, will hold its 100th anniversary celebration on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. at North Point Bible College, 320 S. Main St., Bradford.

There will be a program with a guest speaker followed by dinner. Tickets are $20 per person. The troop meets every Friday night from September to mid-June at the Good Shepherd Methodist Church, 471 Main St. For more information about this event, contact David Nichols at pavid@msn.com or 978-373-4310.

NECC to host college fair: Northern Essex Community College will once again host the New England Association of College Admission Counseling (NEACAC) Fair on Oct. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Sports and Fitness Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.
