“Almost Maine” is a play by John Cariani. The story line goes like this:
Something magical is happening in the mythical town of Almost Maine. It’s 9 p.m. on a cold, clear, winter night. As the Northern Lights dance across the sky, nine very different couples all experience the lightning strike of love at exactly the same magical moment.
Since 2009, “Almost Maine” has been the most-produced play by high schools in America.
