Anita M. Angerame, 87

HAVERHILL | Anita M. (Hoerner) Angerame, 87, of Haverhill, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.

She was born on Oct. 30, 1920 in New York, N.Y., daughter of the late Ernest and Pauline (Bauer) Hoerner.

She graduated from Newtown High School and was employed at PAN American Airlines.

She enjoyed reading, puzzles, knitting, crocheting and her friends at Merrivista.

She was the wife of the late John V. Angerame and is survived by her children, Andrea and her husband William Backe of Long Beach, N.Y., John Angerame of Bethlehem, N.H., Michael J. Angerame and his wife Sandy of Plymouth and Anita Angerame and her husband Dana Junkins of Kittery, Maine; and a grandson, Brian Backe of Long Beach, N.Y.

ARRANGEMENTS: At the family's request, funeral services will be private. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford.





Myron H. Belmont, 79

HAVERHILL | Myron H. "Mike" Belmont, 79, of Haverhill, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008 at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center.

Born in Haverhill, son of the late Neville and Dorothy (Collins) Belmont, he graduated from Haverhill High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Belmont was employed for most of his career by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of Transitional Assistance.

He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan and enjoyed cooking and walking.

The husband of the late Margaret (Hamilton) Belmont, he is survived by a son, Michael J. Belmont of North Andover, five daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jody Safford of South Lawrence, Linda and Billy Rogers of Bradford, Ann and Michael Donovan of Groveland, Margaret and Phil Proto of Groveland, and Patricia Wells of Haverhill, three sisters, Eva Oickle of Haverhill, Melba Oickle of Alton Bay, N.H., and Barbara Belmont of Manchester, N.H., also 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Private family funeral services will be held at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.





Roger A. Boisvert, 85

HAVERHILL | Roger A. Boisvert, 85, of Haverhill, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington.

He was born in Manchester, N.H., Sept. 24, 1922, son of the late Arthur J. and Marie A. (Pepin) Boisvert.

Mr. Boisvert was educated in the Manchester school system and graduated from West High School, Manchester.

During World War II he served in the United States Air Force.

From 1956 to 1992 he owned and operated Rogers Studio on Washington Street, Haverhill.

Mr. Boisvert attended All Saints Church and was a member of AMVETS.

His survivors include his wife of 59 years, Beatrice M. (Martin) Boisvert of Haverhill; two sons, Bruce P. and his wife Maria Boisvert of Las Vegas, Brian R. Boisvert and his girlfriend Donna Gillespy of Port Orange, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle, Michael and Breanne Boisvert; as well as several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service Thursday at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Bellevue Street, Haverhill. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are by the H.L. Robert E. Cesati, 64

PLAISTOW, N.H. | Robert E. Cesati, 64, a resident of Plaistow since 2005 and formerly of Haverhill, died Sunday evening, Jan. 13, 2008 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Born and raised in Haverhill, son of the late Arthur and Helen (Stepanchuk) Cesati, he attended the former Haverhill Trade School and graduated from Haverhill High School with the class of 1962.

As a young man he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, and St. Joseph's Little League and also was active at the Haverhill Boys Club and was an altar server at the former St. Rita's Parish.

A U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he also served during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Dominican Republic Crisis.

Mr. Cesati worked for Raytheon Co. for 35 years and retired as a senior draftsman and was presently employed at Buchika's Ski Shop in Salem, N.H. He also worked as a young man at Syke's Variety Store on High Street in Haverhill.

A former resident of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Hilldale Avenue in Haverhill, he enjoyed golfing, skiing, building radio controlled airplanes and the New England Patriots.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judith (Comeau) Cesati; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian S. and Lisa Cesati of Rowley and Todd M. and Krista Cesati of Plaistow; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Michael Barr of Atkinson and Kori and Noel Torrissi of Plaistow; a brother and sister-in-law, A. Edward and Geri Cesati of Haverhill; ten grandchildren, Joshua Briggs, Connor Briggs, Hannah Barr, Megan Linehan, Heather Linehan, Zoe Cesati, Sophia Cesati, Aiden Cesati, Bailey Torrissi and Alanai Torrissi; best friends, Gary and Elaine Leughmyer of Somersworth, N.H.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends called on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, N.H. His funeral was held on Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. in All Saints Church, Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill. William L. Comeau, 60

GROVELAND | William L. Comeau, 60, of Groveland, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

Mr. Comeau was born in Haverhill on Dec. 19, 1947 son of the late James and Grace (LaPerle) Comeau. He had been a resident of Groveland since 1956 and previously resided in Haverhill.

He was educated in the Haverhill schools and Pentucket Regional School, Groveland; and was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School in 1965.

He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during the Vietnam Conflict for two years, 1966 to 1968; receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He began his career as an electrician with his late father, James Comeau, with the Comeau Electric Co., Groveland, for over 20 years. For four years until his retirement in 2003 he was employed with C. P. Claire Corp., Wakefield.

His surviving family members are his wife, Nancy P. (Ladebush) Comeau of Groveland; his two sons, Peter J. Comeau and his fiance, Jennifer Sapienza, of Haverhill and Robert W. Comeau of Haverhill; his granddaughter, Victoria Comeau of Haverhill; his brother, John P. Comeau of Derry, N.H.; his six sisters, Rose Willey of Conway, N.H., Louise Teveault of Gorham, Maine, Jeannie Brooks of Dixmont, Maine, Irene Lane of Detroit, Maine, Terry Kochakian of Mariaville, Maine and Christine Kadish of Meridan, Conn.; and nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. in the C. Frank Linnehan & Son Haverhill Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill. Calling hours at the C. Joseph B. Giampa, 68

HAVERHILL | Joseph B. Giampa, 68, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 9, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family after a short illness.

He was born in Haverhill on Feb. 5, 1939, son of the late Angelo and Lillian (Resvan) Giampa. He was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1957.

Mr. Giampa was employed at Lucent Technologies for 42 years retiring in 2001.

He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed making furniture for his family. He was a member of All Saints Church in Haverhill and the 495th Radio Flyers.

His survivors include his wife of 49 years, Georgianna (Strout) Giampa of Haverhill, his children, Wanda J. and her husband Brian J. Bouvier, Brenda M. Giampa, all of Haverhill Johanna M. and her husband Jeff Makepeace of Sandown, N.H., Steven J. and his wife Paula Giampa of W. Newbury, eight grandchildren, Katelyn, Shana, Ariel Bouvier, Meaghan Sawyer Krinzle, Zachary and Ryan Makepeace, Emily and Lindsey Giampa. He was the father of the late Sandra Sawyer, RN who died in 1987.

Inez E. Hutchinson, 90

BILLERICA | Inez E. (Spofford) Hutchinson, 90, formerly of Haverhill, died Monday afternoon, Jan. 14, 2008 at her daughter's home in Billerica.

She was born in Haverhill, May 30, 1917, daughter of the late Benjamin and Bernice (Webster) Spofford. Educated in the Haverhill school system, Mrs. Hutchinson graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1935, and earned a bachelor's degree form University of Massachusetts - Amherst in 1939.

She served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II.

A 19 year employee of the Haverhill School Department, she was an aid to the assistant principal and later a library aide at the Burnham School. Mrs. Hutchinson was a member of Riverside Memorial Church and its Charity Circle, a former Girl Scout Leader and member of the Blind Guild.

She was the wife of the late Benjamin N. Hutchinson who died in 1995 and her survivors include two sons, Bradlee Hutchinson of Amesbury, Richard Hutchinson of Plumsteadville, Pa.; five daughters, Lindalee Doss of McMinnville, Tenn., Susan A. Hutchinson of Billerica, Patricia A. Hutchinson of Bradford, Jan B. Hutchinson of Haverhill, Jill C. Hutchinson of Haverhill; a brother, Stanwood W. Spofford of Bradford; a sister, Natalie Mrs. James (Spofford) Hastings of Bradford; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hutchinson was the sister of the late Dorothy (Spofford) Contos who died in 2006.

Herbert R. Klenk, 79

ERIAL, N.J. | Herbert R. "Bob" Klenk, 79 of Erial, N.J., died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 in New Jersey.

Bob retired from the United States Army after 30 years of service serving in both World War II and the Korean War.

He was a former chemical operator for Rohm & Haas in Phila.

Bob was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army belonging to their church in Philadelphia and was a canteen (disaster) volunteer. He was a member of Shenandoah Veterans Committee and Good timers club of Magnolia.

His survivors include his loving wife, Emily (Guldenschuh) Klenk of Erial, N.J.; his children Laurie and her husband Hugh Glover of Williamstown, Majors, Robert and his wife Kathleen Klenk of Haverhill, Kimberly Klenk of Sicklerville; four grandchildren, Rachel, Peter, Eva-Marie, Jack; brother, Harold and his wife Clovena Klenk of Phila; sisters-in-law, Jane, Ruth and her husband Gordon, Daisy and her husband David; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mary Faye Knipe, 78

HAVERHILL | Mary Faye (Horne) Knipe, 78, of Haverhill, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital after a short illness.

Mrs. Knipe was born in Gloucester, daughter of the late Archibald A. and Mary Grace (Sonia) Horne.

She was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1947 and attended Northern Essex Community College.

In 1951 she married the Robert W. Knipe Sr. and moved to Haverhill to raise her beloved family.

She was employed as an educational specialist for Lucent Technologies in North Andover, retiring in 1987.

The widow of Robert W. Knipe Sr., who died in 1983, she leaves a son, Robert W. Knipe Jr. and his wife Barbara of Lancaster; a daughter and son-in-law, Robyn L. and Michael J. Verrette of Haverhill; three grandchildren, Trevor W. Knipe, Victoria F. Knipe and Ryan M. Verrette; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Carol Horne, David and Maryann Horne, and Frederick and Sandra Horne, all of Gloucester; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Donald, and Richard, and a sister, Patricia Hale.

Frances G. Lobue, 94

HAVERHILL | Frances G. Lobue, 94, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at Merrimack Valley Hospital.

She was born in Wakefield, Jan. 16, 1913, daughter of Gaetano and Grace (Fazio) LoBue. She was educated in Haverhill schools, and was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish.

She was a waitress at the former Bella Vista Restaurant.

She is survived by a brother, William LoBue of Worcester, one sister, Josephine Driscoll of Haverhill. She is also survived by one niece and five nephews. She was also sister of the late Edward LoBue, and Edna Zaleskas.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral was held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Scatamacchia Funeral Home, 358 Washington St., Haverhill, followed by a Mass of Christian burial in Sacred Hearts Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
