Henry A. Jewell, 92


NORTH ANDOVER — Henry A. Jewell, 92, of Wood Lane in North Andover, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill after a long illness.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was the owner of the Auto-Jet Venetian Blind Co. until his retirement in the 1980s. Henry was head of the landscaping for the First United Methodist Church in North Andover and a member of The Cochichewick Lodge A.F. & A.M. in North Andover as well as a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Massachusetts. Henry also enjoyed family, friends and traveling.

Henry was predeceased by his wife, Jessie M. (Bissett) Jewell and his son, Ronald Jewell and is survived by his great-niece, Nancy Rocheleau of North Andover, Jewell and Norman Rowe of Merrimack, N.H., Lillian and Joseph Reed of Lawrence and Janice Mallette of Bradford; as well as several nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, July 28 at 10 a.m. in The Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third St., North Andover. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover.
