METHUEN — Irene M. (Tuszynski) Jezierski, 56, of Methuen, died Tuesday , July 20, 2010, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, with her husband and relatives at her side.
The daughter of Helena (Koscielniak) and the late Stanislaw Tuszynski, Irene was born in Konin, Poland on Dec. 27, 1953. She was educated in Poland. She came to the United States in 1977, and resided in Methuen since her arrival. She was employed as a Quality Control Inspector at Wang Labs in Methuen, Tri-Star Technology in Methuen, Hadco Tech East at Ward Hill, and at Sanmena Labs in Woburn until her illness.
She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Church of Lawrence, and currently attended Holy Rosary Church-Corpus Christi Parish in Lawrence. She was a very active member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Julian Stopyra Post, Polish-American Veterans of Lawrence. She was also a delegate of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Polish-American Veterans of Massachusetts. She enjoyed going to events and conventions at the Stopyra Post and throughout New England, with her husband, Wesley Jezierski, former State Commander of the Polish-American Veterans of Massachusetts. She also enjoyed going to the beach with her nieces and nephews, along with gardening and reading. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends at her home with her traditional Polish cooking.
Irene's husband, Wesley, would like to thank Merrimack Valley Hospice and Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill for the kind and superb care given to Irene in her illness.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Wesley L. Jezierski of Methuen; her mother, Helena (Koscielniak) Tuszynski of Kazimierz-Bisk, Poland; her sister and husband, Halina and Gregory Jaronska of Kazimierz-Bisk, Poland; several nieces and nephews; along with aunts, uncles and cousins in Poland. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Joseph Jezierski of Methuen. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Irene (Chabros) Jezierski of Methuen; sister-in-law, Ursula G. Birkmaier of Methuen; and brother-in-law, Henry R. Jezierski and his wife Melanie, and their children, Nick, Emily, Joseph, and Zoe of Methuen.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 23, 2010, at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church—Corpus Christi Parish, Essex Street, Lawrence. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, July 22, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Boles Memorial-Baron-McAuliffe-Yameen Funeral Home, 184 Jackson St., Lawrence (978-686-0386). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Irene's memory may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
