Dolphice W. DuFresne Jr., age 90 of Methuen, passed away on Monday February 20, 2012 at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.
He was born on December 14, 1921 in Berlin, NH the son of Dolphice W. DuFresne Sr. and Albertine (LeCompte). He was raised and educated in Berlin and graduated from Berlin High School. He also attended Boston University.
Dolphice served his country during WWII in the U. S. Air Force 407 th Bomb Squadron Group H. He received both the Distinguished Flying Cross and a Purple Heart for his service.
He retired from Mathewson Machine Company in Quincy, MA.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Roseana Iris Lilly DuFresne and his sister, Albertine Hutchins. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine (Imonti) DuFresne of Methuen, brother, Robert DuFresne and his wife Barbara of Springfield, MA. Sons; Peter DuFresne of Parkesburg, PA, Dolphice W. DuFresne III of Albuquerque, NM and Fred DuFresne of VA. Brother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law, Don and Pauline Clough of Groveland, MA. Grandchildren; Brandon DuFresne and his wife Kristin of Weymouth, MA, Sheena Wasson and her husband Kevin of Parkesburg, PA, Krishna Cruikshank and Iris DuFresne, both of Albuquerque, NM. His very special friend and pet, “Angel” also survives him.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family were invited to call on Wednesday February 22, 2012 from 4 – 8:00 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home 47 Broadway Haverhill, MA 01832. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday February 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Lucy Parish 254 Merrimack Street in Methuen, MA 01844. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
