Port St Lucie, FL — Winslow Chesley, age 85, of Port St Lucie, Fla., passed on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Fla. Winslow was born March 11, 1928, in Haverhill, MA, to the late Edward and Margaret (Kimball) Chesley. Winslow proudly served his country in the United States Army and the United States Air Force during WWII, being discharged as a 1st LT. He was a founding member of the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association as well as Toastmasters. He owned and operated Win Chesley Associates, Inc. in Plantation, Fla., for over 20 years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing softball, well into his 70’s.
Surviving are his children, Charles Chesley of Miami, Fla.; Cheryl Chesley of Port St Lucie, Fla.; Denise Chesley of Palm City, Fla., and Melodie Rasumoff and son in law, Ryan Rasumoff of Sunrise, Fla.; grandchildren, Frank, Ryan, Tyler, Dylan, Mathew, Jacob and Danielle; brothers, Kim Chesley of California and Charles (Jean) Chesley of Massachusetts.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. at New Hope Fellowship Church (3900 SW Citrus Blvd, Palm City, FL, 34990) where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL, at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Winslow Chesley Living Trust at any Wells Fargo bank location for the benefit of the grandchildren’s college fund.
