HAVERHILL — Love all whom you hold dear. Precious is the time that you share. Do not wait for tomorrow, for tomorrow may not be. Monique Irene Croteau, walked home to be with her mom on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010 surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Monique was born in Methuen, where she grew up and then graduated high school. She lived with her family in Methuen and then Haverhill her entire life.
Monique was a unique soul. Her love was unconditional and her family was her life. She enjoyed her workshop and friends, her outings with her dad, sister, nieces and nephew and of course her Aunty Carol. Most of all, she loved spending time at home with her music, TV, computer and her favorite pet, Emma. Monique was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and niece. She struggled her whole life with her health and never once complained. She was amazing.
Monique was predeceased by her mother, Irene B. (Pincince) Croteau and is survived by her father, Louis Croteau; her sister, Nicole (Croteau) Maguder and her husband Matthew; her nieces and nephew, Katerina, Zachary and Myranda Maguder; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Lapey, Anita and staff at Mass General Hospital for their dedication to improving Monique's life over the past 34 years. We also wish to thank the many people who have helped her through the years with her quality of live through DOMR and Opportunity Works.
