Haverhill — Helen (Blick) Levitan, 93, of Haverhill, died Sunday morning, June 8, at the Wingate at Haverhill.
Born in Chelsea, Dec. 28, 1920, Helen was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Froomer) Blick.
She was educated in the New York school system and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn. She worked for over 50 years as a lunch aid at the Walnut Square School in Haverhill, retiring at the age of 91. One of Mrs. Levitan’s favorite hobbies was completing word search puzzles.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Samuel Levitan, who passed away in 2011.
Her survivors include a son, Jeffrey Levitan of Haverhill; a daughter, Linda Levitan of Rochester, N.Y.; a brother, Phillip and his wife, Rose Blick of Florida; a dear friend, Ken Harrop of Exeter, N.H.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her graveside service on Thursday, (today), June 12, at 2 p.m. in the Children of Israel Cemetery located on Middle Road in Haverhill.
