Merrimac — Robert A. Barrett, 71, of Merrimac, died Sunday, October 14 at Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport.
He was born in Lawrence, October 15, 1940, son of the late Agustine and Alice (Brodie) Barrett.
Educated in the Haverhill school system, Mr. Barrett graduated from Haverhill Trade School, class of 1959.
For over 25 years he was employed as a lineman for Mass Electric, and more recently, as a supervisor for Granite State Electric for 15 years. He was a member of the Bradford Athletic Club, and was an avid sports fan and fisherman.
His survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Comeau) Barrett; a daughter, Jodie Barrett of Bradford; a son, John Barrett and his wife Lindsay of Merrimac; three sisters, Carol Lee of Virginia, Joan O’Brien of Florida, Jean Holland of New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Cody Couturier, and Jacquelyn and Sean Barrett.
ARRANGEMENTS: His family will be receiving relatives and friends on Thursday evening, October 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 So. Main St., Bradford.
