MERRIMAC — Carol A. (Harding) Miller, 58, of Merrimac, died Wednesday evening, July 21, 2010, at the Merrimac Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Haverhill and raised in the Bradford section of the city, she was the daughter of Ralph Harding Jr. and the late Mary (Lambert) Harding. She was a member of the Haverhill High School, Class of 1969, and later graduated from MacIntosh Business School in Lawrence.
Mrs. Miller worked first as an operator for New England Telephone and later as a clerk at John Hancock Life Insurance Co. and Ritz Camera of Newburyport and finally was employed at Lucent Technologies.
A resident of Merrimac since 1994 and former resident of West Newbury she was an accomplished artist in oils and member of the Greater Haverhill Art Association.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Donald F. Miller; a son, Benjamin D. Miller of Merrimac; her father, Ralph Harding Jr. of Derry, N.H.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph III and Julie Harding of Haverhill; two sisters, Jean Harding of Haverhill and Susan Harding of Portsmouth, N.H.; five step-siblings, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a great-niece and a great-nephew.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call TODAY, Friday, July 23, 2010 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral service will follow at 7:30 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill.
