Haverhill — Peter B. Merchant, 61, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 31st, 2012, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House.
He attended Winnacunnet High school, graduating in 1969. Peter was the owner and head chef of the Lakeside Restaurant in Kingston, NH for the last twenty three years.
Peter is survived by his wife Catherine P. Merchant, a daughter Tara McCarthy and her husband Peter Stahl of Winchester, three grandchildren Audrey, Nora and Ingrid Stahl, two sisters Diana and her husband Paul Pheister of Rochester, NH and Maureen Hill and her husband Donald of Dover, NH, a brother Richard Merchant of Great Falls, MT as well as several nieces and nephews. Peter was also the father of the late Patrick G. McCarthy.
ARRANGEMENTS: His calling hours were held Tuesday, June 5th at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. At the request of the family, funeral services were private with interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill.
