Arlene R. Snyder

Edmond, Okla. — Our mother, Arlene R. Snyder, found peace in the loving arms of Our Lord early on Christmas Day, December 25, 2012. Born November 2, 1922 in Haverhill, to the late Marie and Matthew Ryan. She found the love of her life with our father, Charles E. Snyder, Jr. Mom could not resist the handsome man in his Army uniform.

Mom and Dad traveled to many countries during their Army years. Mom continued her travels after Charlie died. She visited Norway, Egypt, and cruised Alaska. She traveled from Canada to Mexico and the Atlantic to the Pacific. Our favorite trip was to Yellowstone where Mom had her first snowmobile ride at age 81. She was always willing to try new adventures.

Mom spent her life doing volunteer work and helping charities of all kinds. During her ten years at Little RIver Glen (Va.) she volunteered at the front desk and mini store. Mom was a long time member of the Springfield (Va.) Women's Club with many friends.
