Groveland — Peggy (Grover) Staples, 71 of Groveland and formerly of Haverhill died Saturday morning, Sept. 1, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill.
She was born in Limington, ME, April 11, 1941 daughter of the late Kedric and Agnes (Grant) Grover. Educated in Maine, Peggy graduated from Limington Academy, class of 1959. She moved to Haverhill in 1959 and was employed in the local shoe industry as a Bow Stapler. More recently she was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at Pentucket Nursing Home, Newburyport and the former Hillside Nursing Home, Haverhill.
She was the wife of the late Clifton Staples who died in 2007 and mother of the late Kenneth Gaudette who died in 2005. Her survivors include three daughters, Jane Hirsvang of Copenhagen, Denmark, Carol Gaudette and her spouse Carol of Haverhill, Amanda Wells of Methuen and six grandchildren.
