Maria T. (Camilo) Wightman, 89, of Bradford, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 with her loving family by her side at Hannah Duston Healthcare in Haverhill.
She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Nov. 10, 1922, daughter of the late Jose and Juana (Mendoza) Camilo. Maria was educated in San Juan and moved to Haverhill in the early 1950's. She married Philip A. Wightman on Nov. 14, 1955 and was employed in the Haverhill School System as both teacher and bus monitor retiring over 20 years ago. She was president of the former Military Rest on Emerson St. in Haverhill and also president of the former VFW Demaris Post # 675 in Bradford.
She is survived by her husband Philip A. Wightman of Bradford, sons Phillip A. Wightman, Jr. of Newmarket, NH and Gary A. Wightman of Bradford, five grandchildren Kristina Madera, Lisa D'Agostino, Rebecca Diaz, Kendra Wightman and Joshua Wightman, nine great-grandchildren Jenica, Kaleb, Josiah, Kadence, Ashlynn, Kyleigh, Jackson, Haleena, and Mailani, as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, Feb. 3rd at 10:00 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. Bradford. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. Calling hours at the Bradford Funeral Home will be Thursday, Feb. 2nd from 4-7 pm.
