SOUTH YARMOUTH — Ms. Mary M. Miserlis, 88, of South Yarmouth and formerly of Haverhill, died unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 23. 2010 at Cape Cod Hospital.
Born in Haverhill, she was the loving daughter of the late George and Demetra (Scumniotales) Miserlis. She was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1940.
Ms. Miserlis was happily employed at the former Western Electric Company for over a decade and a half.
She was a member of the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Haverhill and St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Centerville.
She is survived by a sister, Kaliope Miserlis of South Yarmouth; a brother, Constantine Miserlis of Arlington; sisters-in-law, Olympia (Kyricos) Miserlis of Arlington, and Mary (Oknos) Miserlis of Lowell and several nieces and nephews. Mary was also the sister of the late Mike Miserlis, Irene Shantilas and Christos Miserlis.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service Friday, Aug. 27, at noon in the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154-156 Winter St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. A visitation period will precede the funeral service on Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church. Contributions in her memory may be made at the Holy Apostles Sts.
