Gertrude I. O'Sullivan, 86
HAVERHILL | Mrs. Gertrude I. (Bernard) O'Sullivan, 86, of Haverhill, died Friday evening, Jan. 25, 2008 at Penacook Place Nursing Home, Haverhill.
She was born in Lawrence, Jan. 23, 1922, daughter of the late John and Rose (Cote) Bernard, and was educated in the Lawrence School System.
For over 20 years she was employed at Raytheon.
Mrs. O'Sullivan cherished time with her family, and enjoyed playing 45's and bingo.
She was the wife of the late Dennis O'Sullivan who died in 2001 and her survivors include four sons, Dennis and his wife Noella O'Sullivan of Haverhill, Michael O'Sullivan of Haverhill, Brian O'Sullivan of Salem, N.H., Kevin O'Sullivan of Salem, N.H., two daughters, Patricia Morse of St. Petersburg, Fla., Rosemary O'Shea of Salem, N.H., 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family with burial in Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, St. Petersburg, Fla. Arrangements are by the H.L. Harriette G. Pecci, 78
HAVERHILL | Harriette G. Pecci, 78, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008 at Wingate.
She was born in Concord, N.H. March 31, 1929, daughter of Dale and Ellen (Woodworth) Cole.
She was educated in Concord schools, and had been a resident of Haverhill since 1951.
Mrs. Pecci enjoyed reading and arts and crafts. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was a bookkeeper for Gerson Furniture and Boston Furniture before retiring in 1980.
She is survived by her husband, John Pecci; a daughter and her husband Joanne and Ralph Anderson of Plaistow, N.H.; and son and his wife, Anthony and Sharon Pecci of Haverhill; two grandchildren, Brian Pecci of Plaistow, N.H. and Sara Maage of Plymouth, Minn.; a brother-in-law, James "Joe" Cronin of Boscawen, N.H.; and a sister-in-law, Estelle Matthews of Windham, N.H. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard F. Shine, 77
HAVERHILL | Richard F. Shine, 77, of Haverhill, died Thursday morning, Jan. 24, 2008 at his residence.
He was born in Haverhill on Aug. 5, 1930, son of the late John J. and Antoinette E. (White) Shine.
He moved to Boston at an early age and was educated in the Boston schools, graduating from Brandeis High School.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War serving for seven years.
Mr. Shine was a printer for Spaulding & Moss in Boston and Interprint in Florida. He was a resident of St. Petersburg, Fla. for 10 years and Georgia for 27 years.
He was the husband of the late Lucille J. (O'Hara) Shine, and is survived by an aunt, Arlene Dick; cousins, Peggy Chabot, Annette Barnaby, Wayne Dick, William Dick, Christopher Dick, Alan Dick, Gary Dick, Jean Lippo, Theresa Jesionowski, Edward White, and Ronnie White.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend a memorial Mass on Monday, Jan. 28, at 9 a.m. at All Saints Church, Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill. Anthony Spera, 55
HAVERHILL | Anthony "Tony" Spera, 55, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 at Massachusetts General Hospital.
He was born in Haverhill, Dec. 14, 1952, son of Carmen and Beatrice (Manetti) Spera.
He was a graduate of Timberlane Regional High School, graduating in 1971. In 1976, he started Anthony C. Spera General Contracting.
He is survived by his mother, Beatrice; a sister, Jennifer Wilson of Danville, N.H.; a brother, Gino Spera and his wife Kim of Haverhill; his former wife, Lorraine (Bouchard) Spera of Hampstead, N.H.; daughters, Debbi of Plaistow, N.H. and Janice of Haverhill; one niece, Melissa Post of Plaistow, N.H.; one uncle, Philip Spera of Haverhill; his godmother, Lucy Gulla of Haverhill; a cousin, Joseph Gulla of Hampton, N.H.; and a close friend, Norman Milhendler of Haverhill. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Andrew F. Strykowski, 97
HAVERHILL | Andrew F. Strykowski, 97, of Haverhill, died Saturday evening, Jan. 26, 2008 at Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport.
He was born in Haverhill, Nov. 27, 1910, son of the late George E. and Rosalie J. (Dul) Strykowski, and was educated in the Haverhill school system.
During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps. earning the rank of Tech. Sgt., and was stationed in Carlsbad, N.M.
After the war he was employed in the local shoe industry.
He was the husband of the late Malvina "Mary" (Holak) Strykowski who died in 1998, and is survived by a sister, Catherine E. Surpicki of Ipswich and several nieces and nephews.

Artemis Zazopoulos, 104
HAVERHILL | Artemis (Cosmides) Zazopoulos, 104, of Haverhill, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008 at Penacook Place Nursing Home, Haverhill.
She was born in Asia Minor, Jan. 25, 1903, daughter of the late Sophocles and Sophia (Hagicosmides) Cosmides, and was educated there. In 1920 Artemis immigrated to the United States and settled in Haverhill.
While in Haverhill she worked with her son at the former Radio Market Specialty Foods for several years.
Mrs. Zazopoulos was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Apostles, Haverhill.
She was the wife of the late Andrew Zazopoulos who died in 1985 and her survivors include a son, Aris and his wife Elaine Zazopoulos of Cape Neddick, Maine; five grandchildren, Andrew and Ted Zazopoulos, Peter Kamberelis, Cynthia Mendonsa and Frank Panaro Jr.; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Rose M. Zottu, 94
HAVERHILL | Rose M. (Papatola) Zottu, 94, of Haverhill, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, Haverhill.
She was born in Haverhill, March 28, 1913, daughter of the late James and Concetta (Coppola) Papatola. Educated in the Haverhill school system, Mrs. Zottu was a member of St. James Church, Haverhill.
She was employed as a nurses aide at the former Hale Hospital. Prior to this she was employed at the former 5th Avenue Shoe, and more recently was a crossing guard for the City of Haverhill.
Mrs. Zottu was the wife of the late Joseph S. Zottu who died in 1952, mother of the late Zoe Ferguson who died in 2001, and was predeceased by her three brothers and a sister.
Her survivors include a son, Steven J. and his wife Anne Zottu of Bradford; son-in-law, Eugene Ferguson of Haverhill; grandchildren, Joseph and his wife Jeannie Ferguson, Barry Ferguson, Lisa and her husband Wayne Lang; great-grandchildren, Jared, Kacie, Ryan and Logan Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.
