Bradford — Albert (Shavarsh) Movsesian, a crusader for Armenian Genocide education and human rights, died May 25, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of the late Charlotte (Gulezian) Movsesian, who died in 2012, and brother of the late Roxie Shamlian, Nance Movsesian and retired U.S. Army Colonel Anthony A. Movsesian.
He leaves two sisters, Elinor Tate, and her husband John, Lincoln, R.I., and Lucy Talanian, Milton; 11 nieces and nephews; nine grandnieces and grandnephews; his brother-in-law, Martin Gulezian, Methuen, and several beloved cousins and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the calling hours on Saturday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church, 110 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will follow at noon at the Church. Interment with military honors will be in the Linwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford.
