Haverhill, MA (Bradford) — Joy Ann Pleau, 56, died Friday afternoon, August 24, at her home from a battle with breast cancer.
She was the daughter of the late Romeo & Mary Pleau of 21 South Lincoln Street, Bradford and sister of the late Ernest Pleau.
She was the devoted wife of Robert Goulet of Haverhill, MA. Joy was a 1974 honors graduate of Haverhill High School. She attended the Montserrat College of Art in Beverly. Joy worked for TechPrint in the 1980's as a graphic artist. Her true love was sketching scenes of the ocean, lighthouses and sailboats. Her artwork is adorned in prominent homes along the NH coastline.
She will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her sister, Mary Pleau Billadeau and husband Gereald Billadeau of North Hampton, NH; brother Gerald Pleau and wife Beverly Pleau of Avon Park, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Colleen Lewis Burback of Birmingham, AL, Allison Pleau Egan of Watertown, Greg Lewis of Mount Pleasant, SC, Steven Pleau of Gray, Maine, and Marianne Lewis Casey of Brentwood, NH, and several second cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Please join us on Friday, September 7 at 11 a.m. for a memorial mass in her honor at the Sacred Hearts Catholic Church at 48 South Chestnut Street, Bradford. to celebrate her life. Donations can be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer.
