Howard H. Vosburgh, 80, died on April 11, 2012 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. He was born in Canada on June 18, 1931, and moved to Haverhill, MA at the age of 18. He was formerly a longtime resident of Nottingham before moving to Epping NH. A talented musician, Howard sang in a country music band and performed with many famous country artists such as Conway Twitty and Hank Williams Jr. He was formerly employed by several different shoe shops as a mechanic for Singer sewing machines. He was a longtime member of the American Legion in Haverhill, MA and Epping, NH. He was a skilled pool player who won many billiard tournaments and trophies over the years.
He is survived by two daughters, Pamela M. Hughes of Laconia, NH, and Judith Pembroke of Suffolk, VA; two sons, Howard “Butch” Vosburgh of Chiefland, FL, and Dwaine Vosburgh of Haverhill, MA; several grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Mosher of Bedford, MA, and Mavis Hannon of Florida; his brother Leonard Vosburgh of Quebec, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.
Howard will have a Memorial Stone set at Prospect Cemetery in the plot with his grandson Andrew S. Millen in Epping, NH. Howard had a love for animals and at the family’s request, Memorial Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the NH SPCA, PO Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885-0196.
