Haverhill — Mollie A. (White) Mencis, 97, of Haverhill died Thursday morning, August 2, 2012 at Penacook Place, Haverhill.
She was born in Chelsea, October 8, 1914 daughter of the late Abraham and Ida (Hark) White. A graduate of Everett High School, Mrs. Mencis moved to Haverhill in 1937.
She was the wife of the late Louis Mencis who died in 1997 and sister of the late Jacob, Benjamin, Ralph and Jonah White. Her survivors include two daughters, Constance G. Mencis of Boston, Linda R. Levine and her husband Allan of Lowell, two grandchildren, Mark B. Levine and his wife Debbie, Jay S. Levine and his wife Laura, four great grandchildren, Gregory Ross Levine, Daniel Reid Levine, Peninah Lise Levine and Ethan Louis Levine, special friends, Randall Helweg, Stephen Nobile, Elizabeth Sowick, her “girls from Connecticut”, as well as several nieces and nephews and her numerous friends at Penacook Place Nursing Home and John Hancock.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 3, at 11:00 am at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill.
