Exeter, NH — Marilyn Betty (Hough) Pearson, 75, of Exeter, formerly of Hampton, died on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Exeter Hospital.
She was born in Malden, MA, April 2, 1937, a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Owen) Hough, Sr.
Marilyn was raised in Everett, MA and graduated from Everett High with the Class of 1955. She met and married the love of her life, David J. Pearson, Sr. in 1956 and the couple settled in Georgetown, MA to raise their family. They lived in Merrimac and Amesbury MA, before moving to Hampton in 1984 and eventually to Exeter in 2005. She loved gardening, the ocean, entertaining family and friends, and attending the theater. She was a member of the International Order of Rainbow Girls.
Marilyn worked in health care for years before retiring from Exeter Healthcare.
In addition to her husband of over 56 years, David J. Pearson, Sr. of Exeter, family members include her sons, David J. Pearson, Jr. of Boston, MA, Richard M. Pearson of Exeter and Robert P. Pearson and his wife Catherine of Rochester, her grandson James, her sister, Nancy Kearins and her husband Harry of Needham, MA and her brothers, George Hough and his wife Jean of Columbia, MO and John Hough and his wife Irene of North Andover, MA. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: All services will be private.
