Phoenix, Ariz. — Nicole Christine Franciscovich passed away at the age of 45, on Friday, March 22, 2013 at her home in Phoenix. Born in Boston, December 29, 1967, “Nikki” battled courageously for six years against Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. She never gave up.
Her buoyant personality, hearty laugh, and exuberance were catching, and she lit up a room. Her unforgettable personality shined in her everyday life, family-friend relationships, professional life, and day-to-day effort to conquer her disease. She was always grateful for the encouraging messages and support all of you sent over the years. Nicole had a remarkable media and marketing career following her graduation from Georgetown High School and Bay State College, Boston. She shared her life with us in her favorite home on Plum Island, with her dogs, Fenway, Cabot, and Onyx, and the Killington, Vt. ski house.
Nicole is survived by family members, parents, Paul J. Franciscovich, Jr., Phoenix, and Louise Ann Richardson, Georgetown; brother, Michael Paul Franciscovich and wife, Shane Nicole, their children, Ava Christina (7), Ryan Michael (5), and Ella Morgan (3), New York, to whom Nicole was their godmother along with Nicole Arsenault (“Little Nicole”); aunt Paula Yonikas, Okla., and cousins, Patrick and Joseph Yonikas, Oklahoma and Texas, resp.; also numerous other loving cousins. Nicole was predeceased by her grandparents, Albina and Paul Franciscovich, and Thelma and Rollo Richardson.
