Haverhill — Jean E. Berry, 84, formerly of Haverhill died Sunday morning, February 24, at Cambridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cambridge. She was born in Haverhill, December 2, 1928, daughter of the late, Guy and Clara (Crosby) Berry.
Educated in the Haverhill school system, Jean graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1946. In 1951 she earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and, in 1953, her master’s degree from Simmons College. She was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
She moved to Cambridge in 1953 and, for over 38 years, was employed as a Senior Social Worker for Family Services of Greater Boston, in their Malden office, from where she retired in 1990.
Her survivors include a cousin, Shirley Carlsen of Farmington, N.H., and several longtime dear friends in the Cambridge area.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon, February 26, at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
