Plaistow, NH — Vivian (Childs) Talbot, 92, of Plaistow, NH died Wednesday evening, December 26, at her residence.
She was born in Haverhill, MA, November 2, 1920, daughter of the late Walter E. and Edna (Beauvais) Childs.
Educated in the Haverhill school system, Mrs. Talbot graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1938. In 2008, she chaired her class’s 70th reunion celebration. She was the wife of the late Ernest Talbot who died in 1983, and mother of the late Joan T. Guptill who died in 2007. Her greatest joy was being with family and friends. Her survivors include her son-in-law, Robert V. Guptill of Groveland, two grandsons, Steven T. Guptill of Charlotte, NC, Jeffrey T. Guptill and his wife Alison (Prestia) of Raleigh, NC, two great grandchildren, Mira and Alexander Guptill, and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours were held on Wednesday, January 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 3, at 11 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA. A memorial service will be held at the Groveland Congregational Church, 4 King St., Groveland on a date and time to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the memorial fund of the Groveland Congregational Church.
