Bradford — Alois O. Brommer, 84, of Bradford died Thursday, April 18, at his home.
He was born in Neusatz, Germany, on July 10, 1928, son of the late Karl and Maria (Sprauer) Brommer, and was educated there.
He came to the United States in 1954 and resided in New Jersey. While in New Jersey he was employed as an upholsterer for interior decorators in New York City. Mr. Brommer was also employed for Macy’s in New Jersey. He moved to Bradford in 2000 and was a member of Sacred Hearts Church.
He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Ihle) Brommer who died in 2010 and brother of the late Rudi Brommer. His survivors include two daughters, Ingrid M. and her husband, Paul Luongo of Delaware, and Ursula B. and her husband, David Guthrie of North Andover; and a sister, Rosa Gleim of Germany. Mr. Brommer was “Opa” to Mikayla, Mackenzie, and Nikolaus.
ARRANGEMENTS: His Funeral Mass was held on Monday morning, April 22, at 11 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main St., Bradford. Burial was private and at the convenience of the family.
