Haverhill — Elmer (Al) C. Alestock, 72, of Haverhill, died Saturday evening, November 2, at the Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence.
He was born in Washington, DC, February 4, 1941, son of the late Elmer W. and Clara F. (Crabbe) Alestock and was educated there.
He moved to Haverhill in 1969 and was employed at the former Haverhill Paperboard.
Mr. Alestock was an avid sports fan who enjoyed fishing, clamming, and socializing.
His survivors include his wife Janice L. (Broadard) Alestock, two sons, Mass State Trooper Anthony and his wife Stacy Alestock of Bradford, Michael and his wife Glenda Alestock of Haverhill, three daughters, Wanda and her husband William Powell of Richmond, VA, Pamela Curtis of Fredericksburg, VA, Tanya Alestock of Lorton, VA, three brothers, Robert Alestock of Washington DC, Carroll Alestock of Maryland, Gene Alestock of Washington DC, three sisters, Delores Youngblood of Ohio, Patricia Carter of Maryland, Joanne Prue of Washington DC, 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Alestock was also the brother of the late Gloria Williams and Howard Alestock.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill on Saturday, November 9th from 1:00-3:00pm immediately followed by a Funeral Service from 3:00-4:00pm. Burial will be in Washington, DC.
