Haverhill — Marion E. (Winter) Ruby, 95, of Haverhill, died Friday morning, February 21, at the Sutton Hill Center, North Andover.
She was born in Tewkesbury, January 24, 1919, daughter of the late Frederic and Bernice (Huntly) Winter.
Educated in the Wakefield school system, Mrs. Ruby graduated from Wakefield High School.
A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Ruby enjoyed crocheting and knitting, sweets, flowers and above everything else, making a home for her husband and children.
She was the wife of the late William H. Ruby who died in 2002, and was also predeceased by her sisters, Laura Gallugi and Helen Jeffrey.
Her survivors include four sons, William H. and his wife Cheryl of Bridgewater, Peter and his wife Pamela of Haverhill, Brian D., also of Haverhill, Shawn and his wife Judy Naugler of Aura, CO; two daughters, Lee Worley of Haverhill and Elizabeth Bussiere of Marquette, MI; a sister, Ruth Hogg of Groveland; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Calling Hours were held Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be private. Condolences to her family may be made at www.farmerfuneralhomes.com.
