Haverhill — Gordon F. Allan, 82, of Haverhill died Monday, December 17, at Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport.
He was born in Charleston, Maine, March 4, 1930 son of the late Lionel V. and Lilla M. (Gifford) Allan.
He was educated in Maine and served in the United States Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Corporal. He was employed as a machinist at Runtal North America, Ward Hill. A member of the Church at Haverhill, Mr. Allan enjoyed time spent with his nephew, Gene, at Heavenl’y Donuts and fishing. He also enjoyed N gauge trains.
His survivors include his wife of 38 years, Cathy (Mitchell) Allan of Haverhill; three daughters, Kim Allan, Brianna Allan and Kristina Allan; a brother, Lionel V. Allan all of Haverhill; two grandchildren, Kaiden D. Butzien and Khymber Elizabeth R. Allan; six nieces and nephews, Gene Cassell, Beverly Gilliam, Tony Cassell, Michael Cassell, Jon Allan and Carol Stivala. Mr. Allan was also the brother of the late Virginia Cassell.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, December 20, at 12 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Calling hours will precede the funeral service from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday.
